Company description
A Belize registered Non-profit Christian organization dedicated to providing the very best physical, psychological, and spiritual care for children who were neglected and/or abused, regardless of their race, religion, culture, national origin, financial status, or social status.
Children birth to 18 years old are removed from crisis home situations by the Department of Human Services. Those placed with Marla’s are most often not orphans. Many have experienced such severe degrees of abuse that they face difficulty in adjusting to a "normal" home life.
Long-term residential care is provided through a family setting centered around Christian love, example, and teaching.
We strive to instill individual worth in each child while preparing them for responsible adulthood. Where possible,
All school age children attend Schools in the Belmopan area and are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities. The House Mother, staff, and volunteers help the children with homework, direct them toward responsibility and high ideals with love, discipline, support, and example as well as guiding them through the normal developmental struggles.
The children attend church regularly and actively participate in church activities and attend Bible study classes.
