work. We will talk you through the process during the safety briefing and then walk you through step by step as you embark on your adventure. Parasailing is a great activity for most ages and abilities; the oldest person to parasail with us was 96 and we have assisted people with varying mobilities. The views are breathtaking, our team is professional yet fun, and we are ready to help you make fantastic memories.
Your parasail adventure begins with a safety briefing from the first mate. Next, you will be helped into your safety harness–it’s kind of like sitting in a swing once you’re in the air–and you will be fitted with a life jacket. We will instruct you on how, in what order, and when to move to the flight deck. The captain and the first mate will inflate the parachute, attach the passenger bar, and then fasten your harness to the bar while you remain standing. After all passengers are attached to the bar you will move forward and sit on the deck with your legs straight in front of you. After one last safety and comfort check the captain will slowly accelerate and you will start to rise off the deck and move backward away form the boat; your ascent will be slow and smooth.
Sit back, cross your ankles, and relax, you will have approximately 15 minutes in the air to enjoy the sights of San Pedro, the reef, and the surrounding beauty of Ambergris Caye. Take a selfie, make a video–you decide, it’s your adventure. As you return to the boat you will receive instructions from the first mate. He will ask you to reach up and grab the bar above your head and to extend your legs into a standing position; you will land standing up and take a step forward.
